Saw it tonight. Everone should be proud. The opening city footage was superb! Extremely well done. Contrary to my fears, was very pleased with my 'table scene'. Michelle's face, with her glisteningly moist eyes, was quite touching. A film & stage actor/director friend with me said he thought the beginning of "Belong" was the first time (we were the 6th entry shown) the audience appeared to be paying close attention.
On the negative side, we both felt the pacing was too slow. The film's tone required a calm unraveling, but it may have been too langorous-- lacking some tension. Also, the lighting. 3/4's of the films were hugely underlit. Our first scene suffered a bit from that problem. Same as the pacing issue-- it was 'too much of a good thing. The final point that caused comment from those seated near me was the TOO REAL, filthy toilet seat. It initially appeared to be smeared with excrement. That was too gross of a turn off, and caused "is it barf or shit?" discussions. Unfortunately, this momentary debate took people out of the film itself.
Bottom line: For Group A, I think it's between us and two other teams. One used some interesting & clever clamation. The other was a witty/bizarre take on a rabit being a Super hero. A third, by Amanda Davidson from Martini Casting, had promise too. [should a sponsor's employee be allowed to enter?] We shall see. Taken as a whole, NFocus produced an EXCELLENT film. It will be close. Redgie

Taken as a whole, NFocus produced an EXCELLENT film worthy of the award. It will be close.

And speaking of crap, sorry the first version of my comments got sent in tandem with the ever so slightly edited one. As my hero would say, "Doh!"
